
Richard C. Kerns
Richard Kerns is a graduate of Sterling High School, Greenville; Allen University, Columbia; and Dixwell Paralegal Training School, New Haven, Connecticut. As a veteran of the United States army, he served two years in Germany on the Special Service Track and Field Team. In 1964, Richard was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys football team.
He and his wife Annette have two children, Latonya and Richard Kerns Jr. He is currently employed with Legal Services Agency of Western Carolina, inc.

Samuel Kennedy
Coach Samuel Kennedy has been on the sports scene since 1955. He was a track sprinter for Sterling High School from 1955 to 1959. He was also a member of Sterling High School 1959 State Championship Team. He has coached Basketball and Baseball Teams. He joined the Quick Strider Track Team Coaching Staff during the 1970's. Coach Kennedy is also the head girl's track coach at Southside High School. The Southside Boy's Track Team won the State Championship in 1997, and Coach Kennedy was part of the coaching staff.
Coach Kennedy is married to Mrs. Annie Ruth Duckett Kennedy and they have two children, a son Leroy Kennedy, and a daughter Ruth Dionne Kennedy.
Coach Kennedy believes that runners can achieve if they believe in themselves. Whatever the mind can conceive and believe the body can achieve.
Kwambe "KB" Brown
(USA Track and Field Level 1 Certified in Hurdles and Sprints)
Kwabene Brown (K.B) is a graduate of Wade Hampton High School (1991) and Clemson University. While attending Clemson, K.B. competed on the All-ACC Team and was a member of the 1992-1993 Indoor & Outdoor ACC Championship Team.
K.B.'s coaching experience includes 5 years as Assistant Coach at Westside High School. During the coarse of his coaching, he has helped to produce:
* 3 Jr. Olympic Regional Champions
* 1 Jr. Olympic National Champion
* 7 Jr. Olympic National Qualifiers
K.B. is married to Latisha Brown and they have two children, a son Hasani and a daughter Sagirah.
K.B.'s philosophy is, "I want to develop my athletes mental skills, social skillls and athletic skills".

Do to the size of the Quick Striders Track and Field Team we have separate training facilities. Anderson and surrounding areas will train in Anderson at Westside High School with Coach KB Brown, Coach Paul Sabree, and Coach Nicole Torbert.
